Kristy Fleischmann Groncki is a Senior Manager of Smart Grid and Innovation at Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) with nearly two decades of experience with innovative programs including Energy Efficiency, Smart Grid data analytics, Electric Transportation, Distributed Energy Resources (DER) Strategy and Network Geothermal. In her current role, Kristy is responsible for developing Network Geothermal pilots at BGE to support Maryland’s greenhouse gas reductions goals. Kristy also leads BGE’s DER Strategy, FERC 2222 compliance initiatives and a Vehicle-to-Home pilot demonstration. Previously, Kristy led BGE's EVsmart program which provides rebates to residential and multi-unit dwellings for the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure and an innovative rate structure to promote electric vehicle adoption. Additionally, Kristy led the efforts to install a network of BGE-owned public and multifamily charging infrastructure as well as an electric vehicle ride-hailing program and development of an electric school bus program.
